Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the chicken and pour the chicken broth around the edges.
Place the softened cream cheese on top of the chicken. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for approximately 6 hours.
During cooking, the chicken becomes tender while the cream cheese melts and combines with the seasonings to create a rich and creamy sauce.
After cooking, remove the lid and shred the chicken using two forks. Stir thoroughly until the cream cheese sauce becomes smooth and coats every piece of chicken.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese and most of the crumbled bacon. Stir again until the cheese melts completely.
Serve the chicken over rice, on hamburger buns, inside wraps, or spooned over baked potatoes. Garnish with the remaining bacon and sliced green onions.
