Peach Ice Cream

Servings: 6
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Chill/Freeze Time: 4–6 hours
Total Time: About 6 hours

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Place the chopped peaches in a bowl with sugar and lemon juice. Stir well and let them sit for 20 minutes. This helps the peaches release their natural juices and creates a fresh fruit syrup.

Mash the peaches lightly with a fork or blend half of them if you prefer a smoother texture. Leave some small peach pieces for a fruity bite.

In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Add the peach mixture and stir until combined.

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Once it reaches a soft-serve texture, transfer it to a freezer-safe container.

Freeze for 4 to 6 hours, or until firm. Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
