Ingredients

  • 16 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

Cook the macaroni until slightly underdone.

Drain the pasta well and transfer it to the slow cooker.

The pasta will continue cooking slightly in the cheese sauce.

Step 2: Add the Dairy Ingredients

Add the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, milk, heavy cream, and butter.

Sprinkle in the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Step 3: Slow Cook

Cover and cook on LOW for approximately 2 hours.

Stir gently every 30 minutes.

As the cheeses melt, they combine with the milk and cream to create an incredibly smooth sauce.

Step 4: Final Stir

After two hours, stir thoroughly.

The macaroni should be completely coated in thick and creamy cheese sauce.

Allow the dish to sit for about five minutes before serving.
