Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Scatter the minced garlic over the chicken.

Step 2: Build the Sauce

Pour the chicken broth and heavy cream into the slow cooker.

Add the butter directly on top of the chicken. As the butter melts, it combines with the cream and garlic to create an incredibly flavorful sauce.

Step 3: Slow Cook

Cover and cook on LOW for approximately 5 hours.

During cooking, the chicken slowly becomes tender while the garlic infuses the sauce with rich flavor.

Avoid opening the lid frequently because slow cookers depend on steady heat.

Step 4: Shred the Chicken

Remove the cooked chicken and place it on a cutting board.

Using two forks, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

Return the chicken to the slow cooker and stir.

Step 5: Finish the Sauce

Add the Parmesan cheese and stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.

Cook the pasta separately according to package directions.

Drain the pasta and add it directly to the slow cooker.

Gently toss everything together until every piece of pasta is coated in the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.

Allow the pasta to rest for about five minutes before serving.

Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
